The Making operates as an agency facilitating the commission of new artworks for the public realm.

Current Projects

Everest Community College

This project is set within the wider context of the new school build and the regeneration of Popley, Basingstoke. The Making together with the school, Hampshire County Council Architects and the Hampshire Sculpture Trust, successfully secured funding for public art commissions for the new building, main square and four ‘curriculum gardens’ through Arts Council England's Grants for the Arts.

The Making is managing both the commissions and the education and community consultation element of the programme, featuring artists’ residencies, workshops and events. The project is due for completion Easter 2008.
