Opportunities / Artist Resources

Our very successful symposium Making it Big at Central St Martins on 16 November 2010 set out to inspire designer-makers and help equip them to apply for large-scale commissions, to run public workshops and to create interventions as part of a portfolio career.

The symposium looked at the wealth of transferable skills developed as a maker and showed how makers could develop and use those skills outside conventional making practice to produce large scale work for a variety of clients and communities. It outlined some of the opportunities and provided practical information and inspirational role models.
