Balloons over Basingstoke Childrens Parade

Festival Place to War Memorial Park

Friday 1 August 2008, 20:30-21:30

Gather at 8pm outside Debenhams and join the drummers, hula-hoopers, artists, children and young people who have created magical 'wonders of the world' costumes, a fantastic flying dragon, lanterns and a spaceship car.

The procession will head up Wote Street and London Road to War Memorial Park for a tour of the arena before the 'Nightglow' and opening celebration.

Arts Workshops for Balloons over Basingstoke Childrens Parade

The Making is offering a week of exciting arts workshops with leading artists in partnership with Basingstoke Play Council. Generously funded by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, Kingfisher Housing Association and Sentinel Housing.
